So, having received an email inviting me onto the intermediate reserve list for PiWars it would probably be a good idea to get started on TerrierBot 2.
One thing I have noticed is that of all the robots built for the event there has been one Raspberry Pi model that's not been well represented. With this in mind I've decided to attempt a build based around a Raspberry Pi Compute Module.
If you've not heard of this board it's basically a Raspberry Pi shrunk down to DDR2-SODIMM form factor. It's a module for the tinkerers who want to fully embed the Pi into their system and create their own system around it.
As can be expected using such a device is going to be a bit different to using a normal Pi but a full range of documentation can be found here.
